About Course

The Work at Height Safety Training is designed to equip employees, supervisors, and managers with the skills to identify fall hazards and implement the Hierarchy of Controls. The course balances theoretical knowledge of UAE safety legislation (such as Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice) with practical hands-on experience using life-saving equipment.

Key Learning Pillars

  • Hazard Identification: Recognizing risks like fragile roofs, unprotected edges, and adverse weather conditions (high winds/heat).

  • Fall Prevention vs. Fall Arrest:

    • Prevention: Using guardrails, scaffolding, and MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) to stop a fall from happening.

    • Arrest: Using safety harnesses and lifelines to safely catch a person if they do fall.

  • Equipment Mastery: Proper donning, fit-testing, and inspection of Full-Body Harnesses, lanyards, and anchor points.

  • Ladders & Scaffolding: Safe setup, the "3-point contact" rule, and identifying "Red Tag" (unsafe) vs. "Green Tag" (safe) scaffolds.

  • Emergency Rescue Planning: Understanding Suspension Trauma and the protocols for rescuing a suspended worker within the "Golden Hour."

Why It’s Required

In the UAE, this training is a legal mandate for construction and maintenance sectors. It ensures compliance with Dubai Municipality Technical Guidelines and helps organizations reduce insurance costs, avoid legal penalties, and—most importantly—eliminate workplace fatalities.
